When It Was Temperate

dogbit

To support the release of dogbit’s debut EP second sleep, CIWA created lyric videos to promote the singles.

When It Was Temperate is a song for flight: for the wonder of mechanics and irresistibility of guilt. Up amongst the clouds  between London and New York, hedgerows and fields burn into terrifying shapes.

Vocals - Kate Weir
Written/produced by - Ed Maclean
Mixed/mastered by - Kagen

Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,         Enwrought with golden and silver light,        The blue and the dim and the dark cloth        Of night and light and the half-light,        I would spread the cloths under your feet:        But I, being poor, have only my dreams;        I have spread my dreams under your feet;        Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.        Aedh Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven by W.B. Yeats, 1899
